Full Description

Low embankment forming part of the original trackbed of the Cromford & High Peak Railway deviation. The embankment leads up to the turning triangle. The embankment is approximately 8m wide and 1-2m high. It is formed from a mound of irregular limestone blocks, with sloping sides flanked on either side by boundary walls. Although in reasonable condition, it is only 20m away from Hindlow Quarry. (1). NGR: SK 09620 68440 - SK 09470 68520
