Full Description

Embankment built as a mound with sloping sides, probably constructed of limestone blocks. The embankment originally continued to the north, where it has been buried by quarry tips from Hillhead Quarry. To the south, the embankment originally had a bridge set within it. The embankment continued south, where it has now been buried / destroyed by quarry tips from Brierlow Quarry. NGR: SK 08590 68920 - SK 08520 69100.
