Full Description

Bridge approximately 10-15m high. The noth side is built on top of a cutting. The south side has a brick abuttment against the cutting. The arch is constructed of dressed and tooled, regular gritstone blocks with raised faces to the east and west. The main sides of the bridge are of large, regular, undressed mortared blocks of gritstone and limestone. Stone lintels separate the main part of the bridge from the boundary wall that runs at the level of the road. The road above survives over the bridge, but has been quarried away at the sides.
