Full Description

The siding for the Manystones Hopton Stone Co. Ltd, for Manystones Quarry. A drystone wall has been built across the entrance to the quarry. Siding cut between limestone rocks at the side of the Cromford & High Peak Railway track. The siding cutting is approximately 3m wide and 3m deep at its deepest point. The siding is grassed-over and poorly defined in places, where it has been infilled with quarried rock. On the western edge of the siding, in the side of a slope, are two brick culverts, formed by brick arches; these are of unknown function. (1-6)
