Full Description

Disused limestone quarry north of Station Road, Shirebrook. Contains the remains of a number of lime kilns that are still visible (1974), together with a tram or tubway for feeding the kilns. The railway line passing through Langwith Junction provided an exit for the lime products. (1-2)
