Full Description

The Spiritualist Church known as Jubilee Hall was built in 1887 to commemorate the Queen's Jubilee. There was considerable interest in the spiritualist movement at the time, supported as it was by Alfred Smedley of the Eagle Foundry and his wife, among others, who defrayed the cost of the land and building.
