Named on late 19th century and early 20th century OS maps. (1-3)
Entries for colour works in Bulmer's Directory of 1895 show that this works could be either the 'Derby Oxide & Colour Co., Ltd' of City Road or 'Leech, Neal & Co Ltd., colour manufacturers with premises also at Spondon' of City Rd., Derby. (4)
