Full Description

Site is shown as 'Gas Works' on late 19th century OS maps. An early 20th century OS map shows the buildings and a 'Tank' but the site is unnamed. A mid 20th century OS map shows the site as 'District Depot (Derby. County Council)'. (1, 2, 3, 4) The gate houses of the former gas works still stand, now in use as a local authority highway depot. (5)
