Full Description

The site is shown as 'Methodist Chapel (Wesleyan)' on late 19th and early 20th century OS maps. (1, 2, 3) The Wesleyan chapel was built in 1849 for £136.00, the school was added in 1878. The chapel, according to Bulmer (1895), was "well lighted and furnished, and affords accommodation for 130 worshippers". (4) It is no longer in use as a place of worship [2011]. (5-6)
