Full Description
Site is shown on late 19th century OS maps as 'Methodist Chapel (Primitive)' and as 'Institute' on an early 20th century OS map. (1, 2, 3)
Bulmer (1895) states: "the Primitive Methodists have a chapel here, which they rent from Mrs. Hitchcock. On the wall is a marble tablet to Thomas Millward, erected by the late Rev. Jenkins, of Hazelwood." (4)
