Full Description
Site is shown as 'Meth. Chap (Prim.)' on late 19th century OS maps and as 'Chap.' on early and mid 20th century OS maps. (1, 2, 3)
The Zion Methodist Church is a Grade II building built in the late 18th or early 19th century. It is a simple ashlar chapel of two storeys with a symmetric façade, plinth and pedimental gable. (4)
On Holbrook Road, named on late 19th century OS maps as Back Hollow, there was a Primitive Methodist Chapel by 1881. The chapel became the Zion Methodist Church but has now been converted into two dwellings. (5)
