Full Description

On the hillside behind the New Bath Hotel. Entrances at SK 292 577 & SK 294 585. A complex series of old lead mine galleries and natural caverns. Cumberland Cavern was open as a "show" cave for over 100 years, first open to visitors in 1780. Both Cumberland and Wapping entrances are now blocked. (1)
