SK 46 SE PARISH OF AULT HUCKNALL HARDWICK PARK 10/7 5.7.65 Conduit House South of Hardwick Old Hall (formerly listed as one of series of 4 watch houses) GV II. Conduit house. c.1587-90 for Bess of Hardwick. Sandstone ashlar. Square in plan. Chamfered plinth and string course at the top of the base. A large round-arch on each side, the angle piers treated with elementary capitals and bases. On the north and south sides there are walls to half height. Moulded cornice and blocking course. Listing NGR: SK4616163623
