'PARISH OF RISLEY DERBY ROAD SK 46 NE 2/97 (North Side) Bobbin Milepost east of Risley Grammar School (SK 4635 3574) GV II
Milepost. Early C19. Cast iron. Bobbin type milepost on narrow circular stem with cylindrical head and moulded top, standing about 3 feet high. West side inscribed 'NOTTm/8/MILES', east side inscribed 'DERBY/8/MILES' and stem inscribed 'HARRISON, DERBY'.
