Description

Chapel. 1858. Red brick with chamfered stone sills. Welsh slate roof, hipped to east with semi-circular east end. Low, hipped roof, single storey bays at each end. North and south elevations have six tall round arched windows with glazing bars, set in recessed round-arched panels, forming a blind arcade, with windows set within each arch. Single storey room projects to west with, on the north side, a doorway and three glazing bar sashes under wedge brick lintels, and to the west, two round-arched windows with glazng bars. Irregular openings to south. Projecting porch bay with hipped roof, to east, has a tripartite front with pilasters and recessed panels with dentil frieze. Broad round-arched doorway in the centre with keyblocks, and C20 doors. Flanked by round-arched windows with keyblocks and C20 glazing bars. Three round-arched windows above with glazing bars, and set in recessed round-arched panels. Date plaque inscribed GENERAL/BAPTIST CHAPEL/ERECTED/ AD 1858. _
