'SK 35 NW PARISH OF DETHICK, LEA AND HOLLOWAY CHURCH STREET 1/47 Repton House
GV II
House. c1905 by P H Currey. Rubble gritstone, with plain gables and intermediate ridge stacks. Plain tiled roofs. Irregular plan, with central range with gabled projection at either end. South west elevation. Two storeys and attics, five bays generally with 2 and 3-light windows with flat faced mullions and surrounds, reflecting the local C18 vernacular style. 5-light flat roofed bay to ground floor at north west end, and asymmetrical shoulder to gabled south east end, with crenellated motif in masonry to first floor window heads to south east side. Single storey pitched roof projection at south east end, and verandah and entrance porch to north west elevation, with decorative motif over doorway. Interior some original joinery such as doors, staircase, and hearth and hearth seating survive. Included for group value.
