Description
Chimney. Early Mid C19. Regularly coursed gritstone. Intermediate band course. Slightly stepped tapering square chimney, with oversailing course to top with low corner piers giving crenellated appearance. Stands on prominent outcrop. Lintol to base opening on downward-facing side. Rare survival of chimney associated with lead processing, having been the engine house chimney of the Gregory Mine, and now the major mining monument of the Ashover orefield.
