Description
Public house. C15, substantially restored and altered in C19 and C20. Coursed squared sandstone of large blocks. Welsh slate roof with C20 stone gable end stacks. Two storeys, L-plan with C20 single storey brick additions. North elevation with a pointed gothic arch, the arch dieing into the imposts. C20 glazed door and window set in. Buttress at the north west corner with two slight chamfers. West elevation with four windows to the ground floor, the right hand one with jambs and lintel. Chamfered stringcourse above and one window with jambs and lintel above. Similar fenestration to the south elevation, all with wooden casements. A chantry was founded in 1488.
