Description
House. Early-mid C19. Coursed and rubble limestone with ashlar sandstone dressings; concrete tile roof. Single cell with outbuilding on right and wing to rear. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys, single-storey outbuilding. Plinth; large quoins. Flush 6-panel door in broad ashlar surround with dripmould. Window to right on each floor with projecting stone sills to 2/2 horizontally-sliding sashes in ashlar surrounds; dripmould to ground floor only. Ashlar end stack on right. Outbuilding has no openings to front. Left return of house: windows as front offset to right. INTERIOR: not inspected. Originally formed a matched pair with Bluebell Cottage, Buxton Road (qv).
