Description

SK 18 54 PARISH OF PARWICH KILN LANE 10/79 (South Side) 13.9.84 Knob Hall GV II House. Mid-C17, restored 1925. Coursed rubble limestqne with sandstone dressings. Plain and fishscale tiled roofs and stone coped gables with moulded kneelers and ball finials. Two central brick stacks. Two storeys. Flush quoins. Double pile plan. West elevation - three bays, central doorway with chamfered surround and massive lintel with dripstone. C20 part glazed door, flanked on each side by 2-light recessed chamfer mullion windows with dripmoulds. Two similar windows above and a similar single light central window, all with dripmoulds. Twin gabled south elevation with two 3-light recessed chamfer mullion windows to the ground, first and second floors, all with dripmoulds. Doorway on the north side dated 1925.
