Description
Public building. Late C19. Regularly coursed squared limestone with gritstone dressings, flush quoins, moulded copings and kneelers to gable which has cross finial to apex. Side wall stepped ashlar stack and a Welsh slated roof. Gable to street. Two storeys and attic rising from chamfered plinth. 6-light hollow chamfer mullioned windows, incorporating major mullions at ground and first floor levels, which are separated by two moulded stringcourses. Trefoil headed lancets flank an empty niche with decorative canopy at attic level. Side wall doorway has chamfered quoined surround and rectangular overlight with single mullion above, and nine-panelled door with linenfold decoration.
