Description

Market Hall. C16 with C18 remodelling. Massive coursed ashlar gritstone to ground floor, brick with gritstone dressings to first floor, quoins, rusticated at first floor level, coved eaves, moulded copings and kneelers, stone slate roof. Rectangular plan. North elevation: Two storeys, two bays with two pointed arches, formerly open, now blind, springing from central column and moulded band, and above arches and first floor openings, continuous flat band courses. Two mullioned and transomed C18 windows with leaded lights. Gables have single windows with a single oval window above. Listing NGR: SK2414860550
