Description

SK 15 NW PARISH OF HARTINGTON NETHER QUARTER LIFFS ROAD 9/103 (West Side) Biggin Grange and attached garden wall II Farmhouse and attached garden wall. Late C18 with late C19 addition. Coursed limestone rubble. Gritstone dressings and quoins. Slate roof with leaded ridge. Stone coped gables with plain kneelers. Stone gable end stacks with plain banding. Projecting stone eaves band. Two storeys, L-plan, five bays. Central, tall, narrow quoined doorcase. Four panelled, raised and fielded door. Large fanlight over with rectangular and lozenge tracery. To either side, two glazing bar sashes with long and short type surrounds. Five similar windows above. Central one with projecting keystone. Late C19 addition to rear. Attached garden wall to front in rubble with gritstone coping. Tall gritstone piers with moulded fillet and cornice, that to the left surmounted by large acorn finial. Listing NGR: SK1472359022
