Description

Farmhouse. 1689. Coursed limestone rubble with gritstone dressings and quoins. Continuous moulded stringcourse to ground floor, stepped over door. Slate roof. Brick central ridge stack and east gable wall stone stack. Two storeys, three bays. Quoined ovolo moulded doorcase with plaque over, inscribed: 'MS ES 1689'. To east, 4-light recessed and chamfered mullion window. Similar window to extreme west. Blocked, recessed and chamfered opening between this and door. Western , lean-to with recessed and chamfered window. Above, two 4-light recessed and chamfered mullion windows, set between them a single light recessed and chamfered window. Fenestration a mixture of C19 and C20 casements. Attached limestone rubble wall enclosing garden to front. Centrally placed stone square gatepiers, with moulded cornices, topped by large ball finials. Listing NGR: SK1178666705
