Description
Five cottages, now two. Early C18, altered late C19: Coursed squared sandstone. Stone slate roof with three ashlar ridge stacks. Two storeys. Irregular north elevation of ten bays. The ground floor has from right to left a single light window with stone surround, a C19 2-light casement set in a former doorway with stone jambs and lintel inscribed G.E.S.1709. To the left a doorway with stone lintel and C20 half glazed door, three C19 2-light casements under stone lintels, a single light window at half height, a blocked doorway, a C19 2-light casements, a C20 window set in a former doorway and a single light casement. Five 2-light C19 casements above and a single light window in stone surround. Included for group value only.
