Pair of curved benches. Early C18 but much restored. Erected as part of a French style garden designed by Royal Gardeners to Queen Anne, London and Wise, for Thomas Coke of Melbourne Hall, with work carried out by William Cooke of Walcot. Seven narrow shaped legs on moulded bases with plain segmental curved slab stone seat to top plus moulded nosings. Included in the Derbyshire Historic Gardens Register at Grade I.
