Description
PARISH OF TICKNALL MAIN STREET SK 32 SE 4/114 (North side) 16-1-84 No 173 (Lime Kiln House) II House. Early C19. Rubblestone and red brick with plain tile roof and brick gable stacks. Long rear wing with ridge stacks. Dentil eaves cornice. Two storeys. Chamfered plinth. Symmetrical three bay south elevation has a flight of stone steps up to a central doorway under wedge lintel. Panelled door with rectangular overlight. Flanked on each side by glazing bar sashes under wedge lintels. Three similar but smaller windows above again. Long rear range has irregular east elevation, with segment headed windows to the ground floor and flat arched windows above. Original small pane casements and C20 casements. Attached to the north is a rubblestone and brick garage with granary over.
