Description

Farmhouse. C17 with C18 and C19 additions. Partly timber framed, extended and encased in brick in C18. Partly cement rendered in C19. Plain tile roof with two brick ridge stacks and one brick stack in the pitch of the roof. South elevation of five bays, almost symmetrical with an extra bay to the east. Off-centre doorway with panelled door and C19 bracketed wooden porch hood, flanked on each side by large tripartite casement windows. Two similar, but smaller, windows above in half dormers. Projecting gabled bays on either side with 3-light casement windows to each floor. Further bay to right with lean-to roof on ground floor and 2-light casement window above. The centre part of the house has exposed timber framing inside with an inglenook in the west room. The hall has a brick floor and the lower part of the staircase has C18 turned balusters. C19 panelling.
