Description
PARISH OF TICKNALL HIGH STREET SK 32 SE 4/90 (East Side) 19-1-67 The Chequers Inn GV II Public house. C17, altered early C19. Rubblestone, brick and render, all painted. Plain tile roof with central stack. Tall chamfered plinth, moulded first floor band and cornice. Two storeys. West elevation of three bays. Step up to off-centre doorway with moulded wooden doorcase with bracketed hoodmould. Panelled door. Flanked by 3-light casements with thin moulded surrounds, under keyed and channelled wedge lintels. Three similar 2-light windows above, the centre one with a small face in relief.
