Description
House. C16 or C17, partly rebuilt in mid C19. Substantial box timber framing and red brick with brick dressings. Steeply pitched plain tile roof with overhanging eaves and large central brick ridge stack with three diamond set brick pots. Two storeys and two bays. Street elevation has off-centre plank door with bracketed gabled porch roof over. To either side there are 2-light small pane casements below brick hoodmoulds. Above there are two narrower similar windows, one over the door, the other over the southern window. Gable walls have similar windows with mock timber framing in the gables. Rear wall is all timber framed and interior reputedly has an impressive early fireplace.
