Description

Farmhouse. 1669.Coursed rubble gritstone with ashlar dressings. Stone slate roof with two stone gable end stacks and one ridge stack. Rectangular plan with cross wing and projecting two storey porch at junction of cross wing and main block. Two storeys. East elevation with gabled cross wing on the left with a 2-light window with chamfered mullion and a similar but larger window above. Porch with stone coped gable and moulded kneelers. Doorway with Tudor arched massive stone lintel and quoins. Round arched window above identical to one at Herod Farm. Doorway within porch with moulded surround and lintel dated 1669. To the right a 3-light recessed chamfered mullion window with similar window above. To the right again a single light window with chamfered surround and a 3-light recessed chamfered mullion window above. North elevation with 2-light recessed chamfered mullion window to ground floor and similar but smaller window above. Inside, a C17 chimneypiece with Tudor arch and roll moulding to stone lintel and jambs.
