Description

SK 08 NE PARISH OF EDALE OFF UPPER BOOTH LANE 2/64 Packhorse bridge at foot of Jacob's Ladder II Packhorse bridge. Possibly C17. Rubble gritstone. Single arch with stone roughly laid as voussoirs and projecting drip course. Parapet walls, at their closest 27 inches apart, with roughly rounded coping stones. The bridge forms part of a packhorse route from Hayfield to Edale, used from Medieval times into the C18. Listing NGR: SK0883186150
