Full Description
Known commonly as Allen Hill Spa Trough. The 'Dimple Sough' drains the former Dimple Lead Mine. The water is iron-stained. There is a 'Georgian-type' adit entrance with name and date carved in the headstone, a gritstone-lined waterway with a small trough. It is an unusual and attractive feature of a former mine drainage that passes beneath Dimple Road to the horse trough at its junction with Bakewell Road. (1)
