Monument record MDR11176 - Cropmark c. 350m north-east of Brookhill Hall, Pinxton

Type and Period (2)

Protected Status/Designation

  • None recorded

Full Description

A linear cropmark feature was seen on an aerial photograph taken in 1947. It was interpreted as two sides of a possible sub-rectangular enclosure of at least one hectare in area, with a well-defined rounded corner. The cropmark was not visible on any other aerial photographs examined. The feature is of unknown date and function but does not align with the field pattern and is therefore presumed to predate it.
