Full Description

There is a gritstone quarry situated at SK 304 517 that forms part of the National Trust's 'Alport Stone' site (see SMR 16509). (1) Alport Quarry appears on the 1st edition 25" OS map of circa 1880. It is labelled as a disused quarry on modern OS mapping. (2-3)
