SK: 1060 6455: PILSBURY, EARTHWORK In a field close to the river Dove, near to the footpath, is a circular bank with a depression in the top. Possibly Medieval in date. Dimensions: diameter is six metres (twenty feet), height is 0.3m (one foot). The NGR indicated in the SMR does not correlate with the site marked on the 1:10,000 sheet (SK 16 SW), in addition this NGR places the site at best, within Hartington Nether Quarter (as opposed to Hartington Middle Quarter indicated by SMR), at worst within Staffordshire. (1,3). The point has been removed from the map as the location of the earthwork is very unclear. (4)
