Wrought iron gates, fountain and stone lions all sit within the old boundary fence of Morley Park. The rock around the fountain is tufa which was highly prized as a curiosity during the 18th and 19th centuries. The gates were brought here from Bridge House, Belper, when the Strutts sold the property. Remains of a small emparkment can also be seen nearby. (1)
Unpublished document: Judge, T (Ripley Historical Group). 1993. Some places of interest in Heage Village.
