Twelve charcoal burning platforms were recorded as part of a rapid survey in 2008. Charcoal was found below the surface in each case. Most of these platforms are cut into the slope, the down slope edges have been revetted with dry stone walling and are among the best examples seen in the area. These particular examples are oval in shape; one being 7m x 5m and damaged by motorcycles, and the other being 6m x 5m with a shallow 2m x 3m pit. (1)
