South range of eastern courtyard at Babington Hospital SK 3446 4/1131D

2. Circa 1838 (Bulner) but not on Belper Tithe Map (1844) Circa 1845-50? Architect, Giles Scott. Designed as a workhouse for the Belper Union. Jacobean style. Ashlar with quoins and slate roof. L-shaped wing. The west end adjoining Western range (qv). Similar style. One and two storeys. Similar fenestration to West range and Entrance Lodge (qv).
