Gate piers and railings to Alderwasley Hall, Higg Lane, Alderwasley, a late 18th century structure. From the National Heritage List for England: 'PARISH OF ALDERWASLEY HIGG LANE SK 35 SW 2/6 Gate piers and gates to Alderwasley Hall, to the north of the Old Vicarage II A pair of gate piers. Late C18. Ashlar gritstone piers, square in plan, each pier with V-shaped rustication above a plain base, a fluted frieze with central patera to each face, and a moulded projecting cap, without a finial. Ornamental cast iron gates with urn finials to hinge bar and intermediate crossrail, and spear heads to remaining railings. Listing NGR: SK3252053174.' (1)
