East Range of Farmyard at Chevin House Farm, Chevin Road, Belper, an early 20th century building. Although the listing description states the building is of mid 19th date, it is not shown on the 1st edition 25" OS map of c1880, and first appears on the 2nd edition 25" OS map of c1900. From the National Heritage List for England: 'CHEVIN ROAD 1. 5167 (West Side) Milford East range of farm buildings in farm yard at Chevin House Farm SK 3446 4/150 GV II Mid C19. Coursed stone 2 storey range of farm buildings. Formerly stables with loft above. South end retains original stalls, cast iron partitions with ball finials. Farmyard paved with stone setts. Chevin House Farm was originally built as a stud farm. Listing NGR: SK3417946443.' (1)
