Church Farm farmhouse, Dam Lane, Eaton and Alsop, a late 18th century building. 'Church Farm, Eaton and Alsop. Partially extant 18th century farmstead. The farmstead is formed of a regular courtyard with multiple yards. The farmhouse is set away from the yard. The site is located within or in association to a hamlet. Large modern sheds have been identified on the site, and may have destroyed or obscured historic buildings. There has been a partial loss (less than 50%) of traditional buildings.' (1-4) From the National Heritage List for England: 'In the entry for: PARISH OF EATON & ALSOP DAM LANE (South Side) 2/29 Church Farmhouse In the second line of the descriptive notes "stone slate roof" shall be amended to read "Welsh Blue slate roof". ------------------------------------ SK 15 NE PARISH OF EATON AND ALSOP DAM LANE 2/29 (South Side) 13.9.1967 Church Farmhouse GV II Farmhouse. Late C18 and early C19. Coursed rubble limestone with gritstone dressings. Stone slate roof, hipped at one end and rendered gable end stack. Two storeys with an extra half storey to the north. South elevation, three bays, symmetrical. Central doorway with stone surround and dripmould. C20 six- panelled door with semi-circular fanlight above, flanked on either side by glazing bar sashes with raised stone surrounds. Three similar windows above. North elevation with a blocked four tier stair window with a half light at top and bottom. To the right a glazing bar sash and a 2-light recessed chamfer mullion window to the ground floor; a C20 window opening and a 2-light square section flush mullion window to the first floor and a small 2-light recessed chamfer mullion window to the attic.
