Full Description

SK: 1768 7232: Upperdale, Enclosure: Cropmark of rectangular enclosure showing on an aerial photograph. It was not confirmed by field walking by P. Caldwell, though the area is crossed by an old track from the road in the valley bottom. (1). This feature could not be identified during inspection of the area by the present survey in 1994. On rechecking the relevant aerial photograph the enclosure was not visible. (3).
