Full Description

Former site of Mill Race, Alport Mill, near Dark Lane, Harthill, an 18th century structure. The area around the mill was subject to a desk-based assessment in 2008, during which a number of landscape and mill features were photographed. (1) The surviving remains of the covered mill race of Alport Mill were exposed and recorded during a watching brief carried out in 2009, and parts of it that were determined to be structurally sound, were repaired and reinstated. (2)
