Full Description

Farmhouse at Hazlehurst Farm, Hazlehurst Lane, Eckington, possibly an early 19th century building. The building appears to be shown on Sanderson's map of 1835 (1), but please note that earlier maps are not currently available for this area, and there is evidence to show the house's associated barn originally dates to the 16th century. (2) It is shown clearly on the OS map of 1877 where it is labelled 'Hazlehurst Farm,' and it continues to shown in broadly the same configuration on all subsequent available historic mapping.
