Full Description

Barn to the north of Ivy House, A515, Hartington Nether Quarter, an early 19th century building. Previously Listed Grade II: 'SK 15 NE PARISH OF HARTINGTON NETHER QUARTER BUXTON ROAD 10/98 (East Side) Hay barn to north-east of Ivy House GV II Hay barn. Early C19. Coursed limestone rubble, gritstone dressings and quoins. Plain tile roof with stone ridge. Stone coped gables with plain kneelers. Four bays, single storey. Blank wall to north with regular pattern of breathers. South wall open with three square stone piers. Included for group value only. Listing NGR: SK1655959449' The barn was de-listed in 1991, for unknown reasons (HE communication linked).
