Full Description

Stables and outbuilding, south of Castle Farmhouse, off Castle Lane, Aldercar and Langley Mill, a late 18th century building. From the National Heritage List for England: 'SK 44 NW ALDERCARR AND CASTLE LANE LANGLEY MILL (east side) 6/3 Farm building to south of Castle Farmhouse GV II Stables and loft. Late C18 with later alterations. Red brick with plain tile roof, rendered raised gables. Four bays, two storeys. West elevation has central steps up to first floor board door flanked by inserted C20 windows, with segment headed board door to far right. Above inserted C20 window to right and breathers to left of central door. East side has 2 stable doors below plain stone lintels with 2 glazed openings above flanked by slit breathers.
