Full Description

Former Exhibition Building, Low's Lane, Ilkeston, probably a pre-Second World War building. This art deco style building is believed to have been built shortly before the beginning of the Second World War. A small number of photographs of the exterior of the building, in use after the war are available, e.g. (1) The neighbouring Training Centre was opened in 1947 and was built to match the style of this building. According to current Google imagery (Streetview), both buildings are abandoned and behind fencing.
