Full Description

West and north range to farmyard at Chevin House Farm, Chevin Road, Belper, an early 20th century complex. Although the listing description states the building is of mid 19th date, it is not shown on the 1st edition 25" OS map of c1880, and first appears on the 2nd edition 25" OS map of c1900. From the National Heritage List for England: 'CHEVIN ROAD 1. 5167 (West Side) Milford West and north ranges of farm buildings surrounding farm yard at Chevin House Farm SK 3446 4/149 II GV 2. Mid C19. Coursed stone L-shaped range with slate roofs. Formerly stables now used as cowsheds. West range of 2 storeys on farmyard side, single storey from higher rear drive. North range, single storey with large roof vent. Listing NGR: SK3416246437.'
