Full Description

No. 21 High Street and garden railings, Heanor and Loscoe, built in 1766. From the National Heritage List for England: 'SK 44 NW HEANOR AND LOSCOE HIGH STREET, Loscoe (west side) 6/29 Nos 21 and attached garden railings GV II House and attached railings. 1766 with later alterations. Pebble dashed brick with painted stone dressings and red plain tile roof with large central brick ridge stack. Two storeys, 3 bays, lobby entrance plan. Plinth, 2 course first floor bond and stepped eaves band. Central C20 glazed door flanked by C20 cross casement windows. 2 similar over and central circular window with radial glazing in moulded surround. All openings, except the latter, have wedge lintels with incised voussoirs, and double keystone. Dated beam in roof inscribed '1766'. Attached railings to front of house have arrow finials to rails and iron finials to standards. Listing NGR: SK4217247954.' (1)
